A-Noise was a collaborative project organized by independent sound makers around the country to coincide with the protests at the Republican National Convention in New York City. Members of the NYC-IMC, Free103, Riseup Radio, Autonomedia, The Tank, KIll Radio, Prometheus Radio, Enemy Combatant Radio and Portland IMC participated in a 24/7 webstream covering 6 days of dissent in New York.
A-Noise will continue as a collective based in New York and, over the course of the next year, will be creating an archive of sound representing the RNC protests. If you have material that you would like to submit for inclusion or would like to find out how to get involved, please visit us online for more information. From interviews with organizers from DNC2RNC and Still We Rise, to Naomi Klein, a performance from musician Chris Leo, our Daily Roundups or our tongue-in-cheek PSAs, we hope you enjoy some highlights from our first historic week.
